The conference took place in a very good atmosphere.
High-level speakers participated and sharedtheir knowledge and results.
Scientific papers of good quality and of a very good scientific level were presented.
A serious and interested audience attended the conference over the three days and a sense of wonder was felt among the Masters students who participated with us.
We would like to thank all the participants and invite them to send us their comments on the course, the organization and the possibility of a second edition.
We would also like to thank the scientific committee which evaluated and selected the articles as well as the organizing committee which mobilized to make this event a success.

Objectives
Our main objective is to get to known and meet people working in different fields of material science, from the growth to its use deployment in both discrete components or more complex systems.
Indeed, this science, the fundation of all technological developments that we are experiencing, is little known and the partitioning between the different stages of development has become enormous.
Our idea is to make known to young and experienced researchers the complementarity between all the components of this science, this goes from the growth from the initial precursors to the final devices through the physico-chemical, structural characterization, the realization of devices, their optical, electrical and functional characterization and their heterogeneous integrations.
This should make known the different characterization techniques, the problems of interconnection, assembly and both homogeneous and heterogeneous integration and the challenges to be met when integration is not possible.
With the development of 2D materials, a new technology is emerging, it is flexible electronics that we will soon see deployed in the medicine of the near future.
There is currently a race towards the development of components and circuits capable to fit closely different shapes, in particular the shapes of the human body, to be placed where the diagnosis and/or the treatment of certain pathologies can be more efficient.
During this conference, several advanced applications will be presented and this will not fail to raise certain research themes with high application potential

Organisation
The Laboratory of Intelligent Systems, Georesources and Renewable Energies at Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University is organizing within the Faculty of Sciences and Technlogies of Fez, the first edition of the Euro-Mediterranean conference on materials, components and systems.
This conference will bring together scientists having various backgrounds to share their knowledge and publicize their research in this vast field.
This field of research is indeed at the base of the technological developments that we are constantly experimenting with and using every day.
It ranges from the simple telephone to the smart phone, including the computer, the car, modern medicine and even the internet and artificial intelligence.
We must not forget geology and georesources otherwise, a lot of wealth will never have seen the light of day.
It is for all this that we wanted to organize this conference and bring together various skills with a transversality and complementarity view between the different branches, necessary as ever for even more innovative developments and research for the benefit of human progress.
